Tropics Still Busy Out To Sea. We See Perfection.






Gordon still a strong category 2 storm this morning, forecast to keep away from the U.S. and gradually weaken. Helene is still a Tropical Storm this morning. She is forecast to gradually grow, but still recurve before becoming a U.S. issue. So that's the good news....the better news is how nice this weekend will be across the area. Here's the scoop:

Today: Lots of sunshine. High: 84

Tonight: Friday night football fans will find kickoff temps around 77, and 10 pm temps around 69. Overnight lows should drop to around 56 in Chattanooga.

Saturday: Mostly sunny and warm. High: 86

Sunday: Mostly sunny and warm. High: 87

Monday: Clouds increase with scattered storms by evening. High: 83

Tuesday: Scattered showers and a few storms early. Cooler afternoon. High: 74

Vols: 8pm Kickoff temp 77 in Knoxville.

Dogs: 1 pm Kickoff temp 84 in Athens.

Tide: 6 pm Kickoff temp 81 in Tuscaloosa
