Happy New Year! 2007 Starts Out Warm Here.

This was a shot I took this Fall looking back up Lookout Mountain towards Rock City. Partly because of this shot and others I took I'll remember this particular October day in 2006. It was one of those stunning, clear blue warm days when you could say weather perfection was achieved.
Looking at the weather at hand, we'll have some chilly mornings the next few days but nothing too cold. In fact each day we should end up above normal, a trend that's likely to continue until the middle of the month. After that a big change may be shaping up around January 15th. Right now the models are showing not only a major shot of cold air then, but also the chance for a significant snow here. OBVIOUSLY this could fail to materialize, but when things are so far out of whack on the warm side an adjustment usually comes down the pipe to equalize things a bit later. We'll watch it and keep you updated.
