Cold Eases Somewhat This Week.

Thanks this morning to Bob and Kim Fisher for sending this snowy scene from McDonald, TN. It features their granddaughter Haley Jones and her horse "Buck". I still have snow covering a majority of the front yard at Casa Benson this morning. Thanks to some tall pine trees across the street and the low sun angle this time of year, the front yard stays shaded most of the day and the snow tends to linger quite awhile. I just stepped outside this morning and this air feels like it's straight off an iceberg. Right now Chicago is -9 so in a way it is. The airmass modifys as we head through the next several days, but it still looks like temperatures will remain below normal.
