Big Changes Packed Into A Tiny Time Frame.

We are wrapping November on a very warm note. Pre-dawn temperatures across the Tennessee Valley are ranging between 61 and 66 degrees. Our average high this time of year is only 56, and today we should top out in the low 70s. But a very sharp cold front is crawling into Arkansas right now. In northwest Arkansas, Highfill is reporting mixed precipitation and 32 degrees with a windchill of 22. At the same time in west central Arkansas Mount Ida is a balmy 68. But this front is not a fast mover. So today we'll stay warm and showery with the front west of us through late tonight. At midnight we'll be up around 60, so that will be the official high for Friday. Daylight temperatures will stay in the 40s with strong west-northwest winds. It's possible that residents of the Cumberland Plateau will see a rain / snow mix....or a brief change over to wet snowflakes around daybreak tomorrow. But no accumulation is expected.
